When most people think of birding in Spain, Coto Donana, Extremadura, The Pyrenees, Mallorca and The Ebro Delta immediately spring to mind, but the Costa Blanca area can be very good for a wide variety of species. Visiting birdwatchers have been surprised at how many species of bird can be seen in a short period of time. On a good day over 100 can be achieved and over 150 in a week. Whether you are an experienced birder, a beginner or somewhere in between, local knowledge is a must to find all the species of the area. We can help by offering guided trips to the best habitats in the area or a 'Where to Watch Birds' Guide Book of the area. With many cheap flights into Alicante or Murcia, cheap car hire and accommodation and quiet roads compared to most of Europe, the area is very convenient to see many of the Spanish and Southern European specialities.

All of our trips are designed to give around 3 to 4 hours of birdwatching depending on traffic conditions. They are taken at a fairly leisurely pace and are not a ‘twitch’, but participants should still see good numbers of birds.
