The League season starts on 3rd May 2003 (see Fixtues attached) and senior practice nights is on Thursday from 7pm at the club and colts practice is on Sunday mornings from 10am. The cricket club AGM was held on 26th February 2003 and there were no significant changes in officers of the club.
Charlie Puckett, the secretary of the Middlesex County League, came to the club on Monday 25th February to explain some of the requirements of the League that are different from what we have been used to in the Middlesex Championship.
The most significant is that it is necessary for any player that represents our 1st XI in the League must have been registered beforehand. To make things easier, it was advised that all of our members are registered as players by the League and it is our intention to do this in order to prevent any administrative problems occurring during the summer.
Therefore forms for registration will be passed to everybody at Nets. Dave Todd will co-ordinate this exercise that is of vital importance that it is done correctly as it could lead to point deductions if not done correctly.
If anybody wants to order club clothing for the season, please let Kevin Harrington know. The plan is to place orders by mid-March so as to ensure delivery for the start of the season.
